Senior journalist of Odisha Jimuta Mangaraj dies in road accident

Bhubaneswar, June 27: Senior journalist of Odisha, Jimuta Mangaraj passed away today in a road accident near Janla, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. He was 64-years-old. As per reports, the accident took place in the evening while Managaraj was returning to his home at Pahala. Police said that the scooty in which Mangaraj was travelling collided with an unknown vehicle and the vehicle ran over him. Mangaraj died on the spot while the vehicle driver managed to escape from the spot. Mangaraj is known for his book on former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. The book has rare photographs of Biju Patnaik on each page and offers a detailed description of his multifaceted personality, achievements, courageous acts and exemplary statesmanship. {"id":120335,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} The senior journalist has three master degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication, Political Science and Odia Language and literature. Mangaraj was an accredited freelance correspondent of Government of Odisha and the editor of first political new paper of the state.
