New Delhi, Aug 2: The Union Government on Friday approved the repatriation of senior IPS officer Y B Khurania to Odisha.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has issued notifications in this connection today.
The notification read, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to repatriate the 1990-batch IPS officer to his parent cadre Odisha with immediate effect.
Reliable sources said, the Appointments Committee of the cabinet has relieved special Director General Yogesh B Khurania from the BSF who is going to be appointed as the Odisha Director General of Police(DGP) soon.
Khurania who had held many key positions in the Odisha Police earlier, is possibly going to replace the incumbent DGP Odisha Arun Sarangi as the new Odisha top cop, the sources added.
