Senior IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty appointed OPSC chairman

Bhubaneswar, Feb 1: Senior IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty has been Chairman of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC). Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal assigned him the new job on Monday. Mohanty is currently serving as the Director General, Fire Services, Commandant General, Home Guards & Director, Civil Defence. Mohanty would remain OPSC Chairman till he attains the age of 62, an order issued by the GA department stated. The conditions of service of Mohanty, as Chairman, OPSC shall be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952 as amended from time to time, the order further stated.
