Security beefed up after Odisha CM receives death threat

Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: Security has been tightened around Naveen Nivas, the official residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after an anonymous letter was received mentioning about a conspiracy to kill him. The handwritten letter written in English stated some contract killers equipped with latest weapons like AK-47 and semi-automatic pistols have been hired to kill the CM. The letter further said that the lives in Nagpur and the weapons to be used by the contract killers have also been brought to Odisha. The sender also furnished a list of 17 cars with registration numbers which are being used to follow the movement of Patnaik. The home department has sent the letter to the DGP as well as the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner for further action.
