Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: The second SOA Literary Festival organized by PPRACHIN will be held from November 24 to 26, 2023 with more than 200 writers, poets, playwrights and critics expected to attend. The event will be held at SOA Campus-2.
The SOA Centre for Preservation, Propagation and Restoration of Ancient Culture and Heritage of India (PPRACHIN), set up by SOA to achieve such goals, organized the first SOA Literary Festival in the university campus on February 1 and 2, 2020 which attracted a galaxy of litterateurs from across the country.
Dr. Gayatribala Panda, head of PRACHIN and Festival Director and curator of the literary festival said that more than 75 writers, poets, playwrights and critics from outside Odisha will also attend the festival.
“ Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan in Bhubaneswar, one of India’s top ranked Deemed to be Universities, has taken the cue to facilitate the gathering of litterateurs from across the country where ideas and thoughts can be shared with the focus on contemporary literary trends,” she said.
Major themes of the symposium include media and literature, cinema and literature, Jagannath culture, Sarala Das Mahabharata, classical orthography, editing techniques, translation art and publishing traditions and ideals.
