Rs 9734 crore sanctioned to Odisha in railway budget

Bhubaneswar, Feb 2: Union Government has allocated Rs 9734 crore for Odisha in the railway budget.The total budget outlay for Odisha in 2021-22 was Rs 6995.58 crore. There has been a significant increase in outlay for passenger amenities, road safety works, in terms of road under bridge and over bridges, and LHS.  Khurda Road-Balangir project has been allotted with Rs 891 crore. The other fund allocation includes Rs 475 crore for Angul-Sukinda railway line, Rs 85 ccrore for Haridaspur-Paradi railway line and Rs 250 crrore for Talcher-Bimalagarh railway line.
