Rs 5.23 crore property including Rs2.78 crore bank deposits found in possession of R&B senior clerk in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: Vigilance has unearthed properties worth Rs 5.23 crore of Asit Kumar Nayak, senior clerk working with Roads and Building (R&B) Division-I in Bhubaneswar. Nayak was found in possession of assets worth Rs 5.23 crore including one triple stories building at Dumuduma worth Rs 66.14 lakh, two duplex houses at Berhmapur and Jatni worth Rs 57.71 lakh, one flat at Berhampur worth Rs 45 lakh, bank deposits worth Rs 2.78 crore and cash worth Rs 10.62 lakh. Vigilance officials today conducted simultaneous raids at five locations including his residential triple storied building at Dumduma, house at native place at Kaithapalli, Golanthara in Ganjam and his office room. The raids were conducted on the strength of search warrant issued by Special Judge, Vigilance in Bhubaneswar.
