Koraput, Dec 30: Vigilance has unearthed properties worth Rs 2.27 crore of Ramesh Chandra Panda, retired driver in the office of Executive Engineer, Left Canal Division, Kusumkhunti, in Kalahandi district. Panda was found in possession of assets worth Rs 2.27 crore including one triple-storied building worth Rs 35.27 lakh, one double-storied building worth Rs 1.13 crore , five numbers of plots, one four wheeler worth Rs 15.35 lakh, bank deposits worth Rs 11.55 lakh, investment worth Rs 12.11 lakh in various insurance policies and gold ornaments weighing 843 grams worth Rs 25.31 lakh. Vigilance officials on Wednesday raided the house of Panda in Dharamgarh on allegations of acquiring assets disproportionate to known sources of his income.
