Registration begins for Covid vaccine for children aged 15-18

New Delhi, Jan 1: Registration for vaccination against COVID-19 for teens between the ages of 15 and 18 is beginning on the COWIN portal today, said Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The Health Minister requested people to register eligible teens in their families for taking the vaccine. "On the occasion of New Year, registration is being started on COWIN portal for immunization of children against #COVID19 in the age group of 15 to 18 years from today. I request the family members to register the eligible children for vaccination. #SabkoVaccineMuftVaccine," Mandaviya tweeted in Hindi. The government has said both walk-in and online registration will be available for the vaccination of children. Dr R S Sharma, Cowin platform chief, had earlier said that besides Aadhaar and other national identity cards, children can use their class 10th ID card for registration.
