Muniguda, Mar 2: A seven-year-old girl was carried on a stretcher for 10 km to reach the ambulance at Uchetaparu village under Muniguda block in the district today.
According to the reports, the girl identified as Trupti Urlia of the village was having a stomach ache since few days. On Tuesday morning she complained of severe stomach pain, following which her family called the ambulance to take her a government hospital.
However, the ambulance could not reach the village due to lack of motorable road.
With no option left, the locals carried the patient on a stretcher for at least 10 km, from where the ambulance further took her to Ambadala hospital.
