Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths on Friday recovered over Rs 1 crore following raids in connection with Goldenland Developers Ltd fraud.
Simultaneous raids were conducted at as many as 10 places in Odisha, including Berhampur, Digapahandi, Chikiti, and Bhubaneswar.
The raids were undertaken in connection with an alleged fraud of Rs 900 crore by Goldenland Developers Limited.
Earlier, the ED had arrested six persons in connection with the case and froze several bank accounts of the chit fund company. During the raids the sleuths had unearthed a huge cache of cash to the tune of Rs one crore from the office premises.
The ED has filed six cases against the company and its officials for allegedly cheating depositors to the tune of several crores of rupees.
