Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi today attended the ‘Town Hall’ programme and interacted with the intellectuals, students and people from various walks of life.
The theme of the interaction was “Re-imaging India, Can Odisha show the way.”
Rahul answered questions put up by the intellectuals on various subjects having a focus on the theme of the interaction.
Earlier in day today, Rahul arrived in Bhubaneswar on a day-long visit to the State. Rahul will address a rally, christened as ‘Parivartan Sankalp Samavesh’ at Tamando Stadium on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
He will also meet employees of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
It was Rahul’s first visit to Odisha as party president. Before this, Rahul had a two-day visit of the State more than three years ago, in September 2015, when he was party’s vice-president.
The visit is crucial for the party in the State where several senior leaders, including two MLAs – Naba Kishore Das and Jogesh Singh – quit the party recently. Assembly election in Odisha would be held along with Lok Sabha polls.
