Puri artist crafts Lord Jagannath’s Chariot ahead of Rath Yatra

Puri, July 9: Puri’s Kumuti-Patana based artist, Biswajit Nayak has crafted Lord Jagannath's chariot using ice-cream sticks. The artist has presented the beautiful Rath of Lord Jagannath. Biswajit has used 975 ice-cream sticks to create the idol. It took him five days to complete the art work. Nayak tried to maintain the same design as the original Nandighosha Chariot. He meticulously crafted 16 wheels and four horses. wp:gallery {"ids":[122646],"linkTo":"none"} /wp:gallery He amazed devotees by creating the sculpture of Nandighosh Rath of Lord Jagannath. Earlier, he had crafted ‘Hathi Besha’ using ice-cream sticks. Biswajit, an Engineering student from Puri, has already found entry in the Asia Book of Records for his models with ice-cream sticks.
