Private college in Odisha fined Rs 20000 for conducting exam defying Covid norms

Balasore, June 30: Balasore district administration today imposed penalty of Rs 20000 to a private educational institute for conducting exam violating Covid-19 norms. As per reports, Remuna tehsildar Manoj Kumar Senapati conducted a surprise raid at the private engineering college located in Chhanpur and found more than 200 students seating for an exam. “The institute authorities claimed that the students have come to submit their practical records. But we found them appearing in the examination. We vacated the institute and imposed a penalty of Rs 20000. We have also warned the institute authorities to seal it if they violate the norms again,” said Senapati.
