Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: The political atmosphere in the Jayadev assembly segment under the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha Constituency is quite interesting as the political parties are yet to find suitable candidates.
A few days ago, the ruling BJD started parallel campaigning by two groups. One group is led by Shreemayee Mishra, the aspirant for MP candidate and another group is led by present MLA Arabinda Dhali. The slogan of both groups is the same to make Naveen Patnaik the Chief Minister for the sixth time.
However, the actual situation seems to be somewhat different. If this situation persists, the two groups can never come together at the time of the election. Besides, Akshay Behera has also emerged as a BJD aspirant. Similarly, social worker and cine producer Satyapriya Behera is also on the aspirant list.
On the other hand, the local MP Aparajita Sarangi is leading the BJP team and controlling the party affairs in Jayadev. BJP is also looking for a new face who can fight against the BJD. However, it is believed that BJP will not project its candidate until the BJD announces its candidate.
The grand old party, Congress seems to be not in a mood to fight the election in Jaydev. The party is reluctant to field old candidates who have courted controversy in the recent past. So Congress is also hoping for a new potential candidate for the upcoming election.
