Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced to setup a police outpost at the newly built Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bus Terminal in Baramunda area of Bhubaneswar.
A total of 89 police officers will be deployed at the outpost to maintain law and order situation. There will be two Sub-Inspectors (SIs), nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), four habildars, 72 constables and two drivers.
Notably, the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) which has been constructed under the 5T initiative will be launched soon. The bus terminal will operate 700 to 800 buses and serve around 35,000 to 45,000 passengers daily after opening.
The bus terminal will have a restaurant, ample car parking, food center, pick-up and drop off facilities for passengers, supermarkets and 144 bus bays for both passenger and city buses.
89 police personnel will be recruited in this outpost. Out of this there will be 2 sub-inspectors, 9 assistant sub-inspectors, 4 habildars, 72 constables and 2 drivers.
