Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi relished delicious 'Khiri' during his visit to the home of a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) beneficiary in Bhubaneswar slum during his Odisha visit today.
The PM was offered the dessert when he went to the house of one Antrajyami Nayak, a proud home owner under the PMAY scheme.
Later, he sat down with PMAY beneficiaries and took an interest in listing their life journeys over tea.
"Upon landing in Bhubaneswar, went to the home of Antrajamai Nayak and Jahaja Nayak. They have benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and are proud home owners. Also met their family including their adorable grandchild, Soumyajit. The Nayak family also served delicious Khiri," the PM posted on X.
Delightful conversations over tea! Sat down with PM Awas Yojana beneficiaries and heard their life journeys. Particularly gladdening to see large number of women benefitting from this scheme. They spoke of how this scheme, and other such schemes are transforming lives, PM Modi added.
The PM also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 3800 crore in Bhubaneswar.
