New Delhi, Mar 19: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved Limited has been fined Rs 75.08 crore for not passing advantage of the reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) to the customers. The National Anti-Profiting Authority (NAA) has imposed the fine. The company was charging higher rates despite reduction in GST on washing power and did not pass the benefit of this deduction to the customers. The NAA said that GST was first reduced from 28 to 18 percent and then to 18 to 12 percent in November 2017, but Patanjali did not give benefits to its customers.
