Jajpur, April 15: A passenger bus fell off a flyover on National Highway-16 near Barabati Chhak in Jajpur district today evening.
Five persons were killed on the spot whereas at least 40 passengers sustained critical injuries, said sources.
According to sources, the bus was heading to Digha from Puri with full capacity. Meanwhile, it fell of the Kuakhai flyover following the driver lost control over the wheels.
After getting the information, the fire fighters have started the rescue operation with the help of police and local people.
Almost all of the passengers were pulled out of the bus with the help of gas-cutter. As many as 10 injured ones with critical bleeding are being rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital for higherend care,said a fire official.
