<strong>Parliamentary Standing Committee on Culture visits Jagannath temple</strong>

Puri, April 21: A Parliamentary Standing Committee on Culture and Tourism has visited Puri Sri Jagannath temple on Tuesday. The 22-member team studied developmental projects undertaken by the state government under the aegis of Srimandir Parikrama project. Sources said, the Parliamentary Committee led by MP, TG Venkatesh,  accompanied with Ramdas Tadash, Sambaji Rao Chhatrapati,among others visited Sri Jagannath temple in the morning and had their darshan. Following this, they assayed the basic amenities and infrastructures set for the visitors and devotees. {"id":179052,"width":837,"height":605,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} During the inspection, Committee member Ramdas Tadash expressed contentment over the Srimandir Parikrama project, taken up by the state government. However, he said, both Central and the state government should unitedly accelerate the development of the shrine. Similarly,responding to the media personnel, MP Sambaji Rao said there are a few problems in Puri and Konark temple. The problems should be addressed in collaboration with the ASI authorities.
