Paris, Aug 1: Will Indian shooter Swpanil Kusale win a medal in Paris Olympics 2024?

Who among the two Indian ace shuttlers - Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy, be able to sail into the next round? Will it be Prannoy or Lakshya, who will lose to an opponent from his own country?

Will two time Olympics medal winner Indian badminton star PV Sindhu, be able to keep alive her hat-trick dream and enter into the next round?

Can India's prominent medal aspirants Satwikraj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have an easy outing again in their men's doubles badminton event?

Well, all these questions related to Indian participants in the ongoing Paris Olympics will be answered on Thursday, the Day 6 of the Paris Games.

Apart from the multiple badminton matches on the day, the day will witness Indian athletes taking part in three medal matches.

Experts believe that Day 6 of the Paris Olympics promises to be the busiest and significant day of the Games for the Indian contingent.

he day would be a make-or-break kind of situation for the Indian athletes with regard to the medal prospects.

As per schedule, Thursday will witness many critical clashes across boxing, badminton and shooting.

Well, Day 5 (Wednesday) was a satisfactory day for the Indian contingent despite India not bagging any medals. But Day 6 will be crucial with three medal rounds scheduled for the players on Thursday.

Noteworthy that two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, ace shuttler Lakshya Sen and veteran HS Prannoy have entered into the pre-quarterfinals of the women's and men's singles events at the Paris Olympic Games.

But unfortunately for India, Prannoy and Lakshya are set for a showdown in the men's singles event.

As far as shooters are considered, shooting has been India's best bet in the Paris Games so far and is set to have a major day as well. India's Swapnil Kusale will be participating in his rifle final, while Sift Kaur Samra will hunt a spot for the finals in her 50m rifle event.

Indian participants, coaches and fans would be eager to increase India's medal tally on the day.

As per the final standings on Wednesday (Day 5), China with 9 Gold and 19 medals topped the medal chart. France (8 Golds and 26 medals) and Japan (8 Gold and 15 medals) were at second and third positions.

India with two Bronze medals so far, was placed at 39th in the Medals Table.
