Bhubaneswar, May 17: Parents’ association of a private school at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar has knocked the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Besides, the forum has lodged a complaint with Khandagiri police in this connection. As per the complain, the school had hiked fee in 2019, that was resisted by the guardians. However, the school authorities remained firm on their decision, following which the parent’s association appealed the Directorate of School and Mass Education. The directorate ordered to refund the hiked fee and hold the hike. The school authorities moved the High Court against it and the case was dismissed. Meanwhile, the parents were issued notice to strike out their ward’s name from the school register for failing to clear the outstanding due. Reacting upon it, the guardians have lodged complaint before police and the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights on it. On the other hand, the Commission has directed the Director, School and Mass Education to inquire and report.
