Panic among workers; body of a worker recovered from Mancheswar prawn factory

Mancheswar, 21/11: Recovery of a worker’s body from Utkal Exports prawn factory premises at Mancheswar in the city on Thursday spread panic among the workers. Mancheswar police reached the spot along with the forensic team, recovered the body and sent it to Capital Hospital for post mortem. The post mortem will be conducted tomorrow and the cause of the worker’s death will be ascertained thereafter. The identity of the deceased worker was not established. The workers present at the spot were reluctant to give any information on the mishap. Police was trying to contact the owner and manager of the factory. It may be recalled that over a hundred workers had fallen ill following toxic gas leak in a prawn processing factory at Khantapara in Balasore district. The said factory has been sealed and the inquiry is on.
