Rawalpindi, Aug 30: Due to persistent rain and wet outfield, the Day 1 play of the Second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh was called off on Friday.
The umpires announced stumps without even the toss. Since the weather forecast revealed more rains for Saturday, the second day's play is in danger as well, revealed sources.
But if weather and conditions improve, match is expected to start 30 minutes before schedule, as per norms.
With a 10 wickets win in the First Test, Bangladesh are leading the two-match series 1-0. Bangladesh never won a Test match against Pakistan prior to this series.
If rain continues to play spoilsport, chances of Najmul Hossain Shanto led Bangladesh creating history with their maiden Test series win against Asian big brothers Pakistan can't be ruled out.
