Cuttack. Jan 29: Jagatpur police today arrested the owner of spurious ghee manufacturing unit operating in Jagatpur industrial area. Police today arrested Subash Mallick (55), the owner of Subash ghee. Police on November 30 had raided the fake ghee manufacturing unit. Police had seized fake ghee worth around Rs 1 crore, machine and logos of different companies. Police had found the factory of manufacturing spurious ghee using palmolein oil and other chemicals, which is against the food safety standards. Police said that Commissionerate Police in recent times has conducted raids at more than 12 fake units and seized materials worth over Rs 4 crore. Police have also arrested several persons during those raids.
