Online class for college, university students from June 1

Bhubaneswar, May 30: Online classes for college and university students will start from June 1. The Department of Higher Education has issued a notification in this connection on Saturday. According to it, the department had issued notification on opening of higher institutions from the first day of June. The institutions will open for the academicians and staff. Students need not come to institutions to attend classes , rather they will be imparted online teaching. Similarly, no hostel will reopen till further notice since the surge of Corona is still in force. On the other hand, the teaching staff would discharge roster duty in the institutions everyday and prepare online lessons for the scholars. However, semester examination will be conducted after the approval of the University Grant Commission, said the Principal Secretary of Higher Education Department Saswat Mishra.
