Omicron challenge: Maharashtra announces new Covid guidelines

Mumbai, Dec 24: Maharashtra government has announced new Covid guidelines on Friday in view of the possible fourth wave of Corona and the signature of Omicron in the state. According to the new notifications, gathering of more than 5 persons in public places across the state is prohibited from 9 pm-6 am. Only 100 people are allowed in indoor weddings and not more than 250 in outdoor weddings . Similarly, gyms, spa, hotel, theater and cinema hall authorities have been asked to run with 50 per cent capacity. For other social, political, religious events also, the number of attendees should not be more than 100 and in open space, this number should not be more than 250 or 25% of the capacity of the space whichever is less read the new notification. At the same time, all the business establishments have been asked to declare their full potential to the government.
