Odisha to conduct Covid-19 vaccination at 160 centres

Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: The Covid-19 vaccination drive will begin at 160 centres across the state from January 16, said Dr Jayanta Panda, Professor of Medicine at SCB Medical College, Cuttack. The vaccination will begin at 9 am and continue till 5 pm at each centres. The enlisted beneficiaries of the day will have to come to the centre with photo identity card submitted at the time of registration. Only 100 listed beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each centre every day. Unlisted beneficiaries will not be allowed for vaccination if the number of listed beneficiaries falls short. The listed beneficiaries will be contacted by the administration before vaccination. If a person gets infected with Covid-19 after administration of the first dose of the vaccine, he/she will not be administered the second dose. Odisha has received a total 4.8 lakh vaccines in the first phase and 1.9 lakh beneficiaries will be vaccinated in the first phase.
