Odisha receives 3,34,500 doses of Covishield vaccine

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today received 3,34,500 doses of Covishield vaccine from Serum Institute. The Covid-19 vaccine arrived at Bhubaneswar from Pune by a special SpiceJet cargo flight. The vials were taken in three vehicles to the premises of Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL) at Mancheswar. Odisha had earlier received 4.28 lakh doses. The state government has targeted to complete the vaccination of 1.78 lakh health workers by January 25. A total of 1,698 sessions will be conducted across the state in the eight days. The mass vaccination drive began on Saturday,at 161 session sites across the state. While the government had stalled the inoculation drive on Sunday, it resumed on Monday and today is the third day of vaccination.
