Odisha issues SOP to operate vaccination centres in private hospitals for 18-44 years age group

Bhubaneswar, May 8: Odisha government has decided to operate vaccination centres in private hospitals for 18-44 years age group where government will supply vaccine. The private hospitals will take Rs 100 as vaccination charge. The government has come up with a guidance note for private hospitals under state government vaccine procurement. Officials said that vaccination for 18-44 years can be expanded in private Health facilities as an extension of government Covid-19 Vaccination Centre (CVC) with due approval of District Task Force Committee. “The Hospitals should have the eligibility criteria required for declaration as CVC. Registration of all hospitals in the CoWIN portal is mandatory and they have to be registered. The session scheduling in CoWIN portal is to be done by the site manager of the CVC as per norm for 18-44 years. Proper orientation must be given to all site managers for advanced scheduling and daily reporting,” said an official.
