Odisha IPS Association condoles demise of former CBI Director Uma Shankar Mishra

Cuttack, Aug 27: The members of the IPS Association (Odisha Branch) have been shocked by the sad demise of Uma Sankar Mishra, retired IPS officer of 1968 batch of Odisha Cadre. A condolence meeting in this regard was held today on virtual platform under the Chairmanship of Abhay, DGP Odisha. The members present in the meeting offered floral tribute to the departed soul. One minute silence was observed by the members. The association members also expressed their heartfelt grief and solace to the family members of Late Uma Sankar Mishra. A native of Puri district, Mishra had served in various capacities in the State of Odisha and Govt. of India. He was not only an extremely efficient police officer but also a person with true professional acumen. Senior IPS Officers of Odisha including M. Akhaya, Arun Kumar Ray, Pranabindu Acharya, Vinaytosh Mishra, R.K. Sharma, Amitabh Thakur, S. DevDatta Singh, Yatindra Koyal, S. Praveen Kumar and others senior police officers were present in the meeting.
