Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: The state government has decided to set up a Promotion Court for its employees to redress the problems faced by them relating to promotion. As per an official communication, the court will have its meeting on fourth week of January every year under the chairmanship of additional chief secretaries of concerned departments. Officials said that employees seeking legal help for delay in their promotion would be benefited by this measure. Earlier a record number of 3,166 state government employees were given promotion in the last week of December, 2019 under the 5-T initiative. “The court will also expedite the process of promotion of employees who were deprived of it in December last week,” said an official.
