Odisha government effects major reshuffle in IPS level, Nayagarh SP transferred

Bhubaneswar, Dec 23: The State government today effected a major reshuffle in IPS cadres and transferred as many as 21 IPS officers. SPs of several police districts including Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Rourkela have also been shifted. As per the government order, Narasingha Bhol has been appointed as IGP, Sambalpur while Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao has been posted as DIG (incharge) Koraput. Similarly Sheefen Ahamed K has been posted as DIG (technical). The other postings of IPS includes Sarthak Sarangi (DIG(I/C),Angul), Awinash Kumar (DIG(I/C),SAP), Niti Shekhar (Addl.TC(ENF)C&T Department). The new SPs appointed are B.Gangadhar (SP, Sambalpur), Charan Singh Meena (SP, Bhadrak), r K Shiva Subramani (SP, Dhenkanal), Rahul PR (SP, Jajpur), Madkar Sandip Sampad (SP, Kendrapara), Mukesh Kumar Bhamo (SP, Rourkela), Shravana Vivek M (SP, Kalahandi), Kusalkar Nitin Dagudu (SP, Balangir), Vivekananda Sharma (SP, Rayagada), Varun Guntupalli (SP, Koraput), Sidhartha Kataria (SP, Nayagarh) and Prahalad Sahai Meena (SP, Nabaranagpur). The former SP of Nayagarh, Pratyush Diwakar who was under scanner for rape and murder of a minor girl has been shifted to Headquarters as Assistant IG. Similarly Akhilesvar Singh who was earlier shifted to headquarters for Puri custodial death has been posted as Commandant of SOG. Besides Satyajit Nayak has been appointed as SP Computer on return from central deputation.
