Odisha gets six new police stations

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated six police stations through video conferencing. The newly inaugurated police stations are Angul Sadar in  Angul district, Bharatpur in Bhubaneswar, Sadar police station in Jharsuguda district, Belaguntha in Ganjam district, Sabrang and Pirahat in Bhadrak district. In August, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had approved the rationalisation for strengthening of the police stations for better crime control and efficient delivery of citizen centric services. Besides the rationalisation of 905 posts, the Chief Minister had also approved creation of 6 new police stations in various districts of the State by bifurcation of existing police stations.
