Odisha evacuates 39,000 people as Cyclone Gulab makes landfall at Santhaguda

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26: Several district administrations so far have evacuated around 39,000 people including 10,000 from Ganjam in view of cyclonic storm Gulab. This was informed by Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Pradeep Jena. The cyclonic storm made landfall at Santhaguda in Andhra Pradesh this evening. “Under the influence of the system, rainfall in Gajapati, Rayagada and Koraput districts may increase tonight. Not much of wind action reported in any districts. Intermittent mild to moderate rainfall is reported from few areas.
