Bhubaneswar, Aug 3: Odia engineer professor Parthasarathi Subudhi (31) has developed an automated wireless charging system for electric vehicles. A vehicle can automatically get charged once it is stationed on the parking area and once the battery is charged upto its capacity, the wireless system stops current supply, said Subudhi. In this plug-in system, there is no need to buy different chargers for two-wheelers and four wheelers. "Both two-wheelers and four wheelers can be charged with one charger," said Subudhi. "The wireless system is basically developed for installation in the garage of houses. Once you park your vehicle in the garage, it will get charged automatically," he added. Subudhi is a native of Baghamari area in Khorha district. After completing B.Tech in Bhubaneswar he has pursued his Ph.D from Vellore Institute of Technology. He is now working as an assistant professor in a private company in Maharashtra.
