Nilagiri, July 15: Odisha Bandh at Nilagiri partially disrupted public life in Balasore on Thursday. Activists of Congress, CPI, CPI (M), CPIM (L) and the Forward Block resorted to a road blockade at bypass square along the State High Way in the morning against the price hike of petrol, diesel, and other essential commodities. Party workers including CPIM leader Jagananda Das, Bijoy Patra, CPI leader Niranjan Barik and Congress leader Jasodanandan Singh, Upendra Behera with their teams picketed in the locality in order to make the bandh effective. Subsequently, the government offices, educational institutions and commercial organizations remained shut down during the bandh.
