Odisha Assembly: BJP, Congress disrupt house proceedings

Bhubaneswar, Sep 2: Pandemonium prevailed in the Odisha Assembly as the opposition BJP and Congress disrupted the house proceedings over different issues on Thursday. Speaker Surya Narayan Patro adjourned the house till 11.30 am and convened an all-party meeting to end the deadlock. BJP members created a ruckus demanding action against Minister Pratap Jena in connection with Mahanga double murder case. On the other hand, Congress protested over farmers’ issues. Later, Speaker adjourned the House till 4 pm as BJP shouted slogans demanding the resignation of Minister Jena in Mahanga double murder case.
