Jalandhar, May 17: An Odia labour shouldered his 11-year-old daughter’s body to crematorium in Punjab after the neighbours denied to touch suspecting Corona. The labour has been identified as Dillip. The tragic seen came to light after a video featuring Dilip shouldering his daughter's body went viral on social media. Being informed, Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ghanashyam Thori has ordered a probe into the matter. Sources said, Dillip was working as a migrant labour at Jalandhar in Punjab. For which he was residing in Ramnagar area of Jalandhar City with family. Meanwhile, his daughter Guddi became severely sick and got admitted to a local hospital in Jalandhar. Subsequently, she was shifted to Amritsar hospital as per the advice of the doctor. However, Guddi succumbed to the ailments during treatment. Dillip brought the body to his residence and begged the neighbors to help for cremation. However, nobody agreed to touch the body suspecting that the minor has succumbed to Corona. Finding no way out, the miserable father shouldered the body to the crematorium for last rites.
