Odia girl Swetaparna Panda advances into next round of Odisha Open

Cuttack, Jan 26: As many as 42 matches were played on the second day of Odisha Open Super 100, the first ever International badminton tournament of Badminton World Federation at Odisha. Junior World Number 1 Tasnim Mir of India defeated Keyura Mopati 13-21 21-14 21-19 while Mithun Manjunath (India) comes back from losing a game to defeat KG Kumar (India) 15-21 21-17 21-15. Tough fight took place between Ashmita Chaliha (India) and Sai Chukka (India) in which Chaliha won by 21-12, 12-21, 21-17. Similarly, Odia girl Swetaparna Panda and Sri Sai Sarva (India) defeated by Sanyogita Ghorpade and Shruti Mishra (India) by 21-18, 21-12. In another match fifth seeded doubles pair G Gayathri, Treesa Jolly and mixed doubles pair MR Arjun, Treesa Jolly won their respective matches in straight games.
