Balasore, Nov 9: The mortal remains of Odia BSF Jawan Prakash Sial consigned to flames with full state honour at his native village Gopalpur under Bahanaga block in Balasore district.
He received a ceremonial guard of honor and a gun salute upon his body's arrival in the village. A large procession accompanied the vehicle carrying the body. A significant gathering of local residents, community leaders, and senior district officials paid their final respects to the departed soul.
In the presence of a native people, his young son lit the funeral pyre. As the body reached its hometown, the slogan "Prakash Sial Amar Rahe" resonated through the air.
Additionally, Prakash was honored with a guard of honor at the Bhubaneswar airport. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also paid his condolences for the soldier's passing and expressed his deep sympathy to the grieving family.

BSF jawan, was critically injured in an IED blast in Kanker, Chhattisgarh on Monday. He was admitted to Raipur Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The blast occurred when a joint party of BSF personnel and District Force members was en route from Camp Marbeda to the Rengaghati Rengagondi polling station. Four polling teams had also been dispatched from Kanker. Two polling team members were also injured in the blast.
