Odia athlete Chandan wins gold medal in World Body Building Championship

Berhampur, Oct 6: Odia boy Chandan Kumar Sahu has won gold medal in the World Body Building Championship on Tuesday. Chandan’s coach S Rakesh Babu Achari has informed it to media in the evening. According to Babu, Chandan from Ganjam district in Odisha has won the Twelfth World Body Building Championship organized at Tashkent in Uzbekistan, as the only Indian participant. He has won the gold medal in 70-KG segment, said Babu. Chandan, a native of Laxmi Nrusingha Sahi (4th Lane) under Kailash Nagar residential colony in Berhampur town has bagged many prestigious titles before the present assignment.He is coming back to India on October 9 after the event concludes.
