Bhadrak, Oct 7: The notification for by-election to the Dhamnagar Assembly constituency was issued on Friday. Bhadrak sub-collector issued the formal notification on Friday. As per the notification, the candidates can file their nominations from 11 am to 3 pm till October 14. The scrutiny of nominations will be held on October 15. The candidates can withdraw their candidature on October 17. The voting will be conducted from 7 am to 6 pm on November 3. The counting of votes will be held on November 6. The by-poll to Dhamnagar seat was necessitated following the death of incumbent BJP MLA Bishnu Sethi. He died of kidney-related problems at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on September 19. Meanwhile, the political parties have started the preparations for the bypoll. The three major political parties-BJD, BJP and Congress have started consulting with the local leaders to choose the preferable candidates for Dhamnagar by-poll.
