Mumbai, Aug 2: Actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has been chosen to serve as a jury member for a dance competition at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Describing dance as a "universal language," Nora expressed her gratitude at being part of the festival.
"I feel incredibly honored to be a jury member for the dance competition at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024. Dance is a universal language that unites people, and I am excited to witness the remarkable talent and dedication of the participants," Nora remarked.
In addition to her jury role, Nora will host a special fan screening of her recent film, 'Madgaon Express,' directed by Kunal Kemmu. The movie features Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam.
"The IFFM is a prestigious platform celebrating the diversity of Indian cinema and culture, and I am eagerly looking forward to being a part of this grand celebration," Nora added.
Currently, Nora is anticipating the release of her debut South Indian film, 'Matka,' alongside Varun Tej, and 'Be Happy' with Abhishek Bachchan, slated for September release. The 15th edition of the festival is scheduled from August 15 to 25, featuring an anthology film titled 'My Melbourne' by directors Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das. These short films, inspired by true events in Melbourne, explore themes of race, gender, sexuality, and disability.
