No vaccine to symptomatic Covid patients

Bhubaneswar, Jan15: Nay to symptomatic patients. This spells out the Centre’s directive on vaccination for Covid. Amid the decision to vaccinate the first line Covid warriors first,the directives of the Union health ministry has clearly said not to vaccinate the doctors and paramedics those who have symptoms of Covid-19. They have to wait for 4-8 weeks for vaccination. They will be fit for vaccination when they become asymptomatic. The health ministry has sent circulars to all state governments asking them to implement the guidelines strictly. As per the health ministry directives more than vaccine can be administered to people above 18 years old.Vaccination will be delayed upto two weeks if any other vaccine has already been administered. The second dose will be given after 4 weeks. This standard procedure will be applicable for both  Covaxin and Covishield. In case of any allergy post vaccine, the concerned person will not go for the second dose. It is strictly prohibited to vaccinate people with aggressive symptom of corona. These patients will get the vaccine when they fully recover from it. Similarly, the health critics have warned not to take the vaccine if one who has received plasma therapy or undertaken Anti-SARS-Covi-2 monoclonal antibody treatment. Pregnant women are also not medically allowed to take the vaccination.
