Puri, Dec 17: Puri Seabeach Businessman’s Association has protested the proposal of Blue-Flag tag to the Puri seabeach. Opposing the development in this connection, petty vendors have ceased the levelling work on Friday. Sources said, as a groundwork for the Blue-Beach project, a pay-loader machine was engaged on the Puri seabeach near the Chakratirtha road, in the morning to level the sand. {"id":154395,"width":839,"height":574,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Being informed, vendors opposed the levelling work and ceased the pay-loader machine to move on the sand till it was taken offshore. At the same time, the Association demanded to withdraw the Blue Flag status of the beach as a relief to the poor vender's families who earn bread and butter from the tourist hub. {"width":836,"height":551}
