Cuttack, Dec 17: No substantial progress in the investigation into Nayagarh girl's death, observed the Orissa High Court. The High Court’s observation came following the submission of a status report by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Wednesday. “The SIT has submitted a status report with regard to the progress in the investigation of the case in a sealed cover. Perusal of such report does not reveal any substantial progress in the investigation to apprehend the real culprit,” the High Court observed. The Crime Branch SIT on Wednesday has submitted an affidavit and status report on the progress of the Pari murder case investigation in Orissa High Court. The next hearing has been scheduled to be held on December 24. On November 28, the state government constituted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be monitored by the High Court of Orissa to investigate into the alleged incident of murder of a five-year-old girl namely Amrita Sneha Sahu (Pari), daughter of Ashok Sahu and Soudamini Sahu of Jadupur village in Nayagarh district.
