No response from the families of four Nirbhaya case convicts to the letter sent by the Tihar jail

New Delhi, Jan 24: While only a week is left for the hanging of the four convicts in Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case, their family members are yet to respond to the letter sent by the Tihar Jail authorities. The date and time has also not been decided when the family members will meet their wards who will be hanged on February 1 morning. {"id":24954,"sizeSlug":"large"} Preparations for the execution of the four have started by the Tihar Jail administration. The authorities had written to the family members soon after the issuance of the death warrant mentioning that the convicts would be hanged on February 1 at 6 am. If the family members want to meet their wards, they can meet them for the last time, said the letter sent by the jail authorities. However, none of the family members of the four death warantees have responded yet. {"id":24955,"sizeSlug":"large"} As per the Jail Manual, family members of the under trial prisoners can meet the latter twice in a week. Accordingly, family members of under trial prisoners are meeting their wards in the jail. However, the family members of the four Nirbhaya case convicts, who will be hanged on February 1 morning, have been quiet till date.
