Newlywed bride abducted in Nuapada, husband rescued in critical condition from Chhattisgarh

Nuapada, Feb 24: A newlywed bride and her husband were allegedly abducted by some unidentified miscreants after 4 days of their marriage in Nuapada district, police said on Wednesday. However, they managed to rescue the husband in critical condition from Chhattisgarh. According to the police, Ramesh, a resident of Komona block tied the knot last Wednesday. After four days of his marriage, he and her wife were abducted by some miscreants on their way to the hospital on Sunday. The couple was going to a nearby hospital after the groom received a fake call regarding hospitalisation of a relative. On the other hand, the family members of Ramesh got a message from his phone which mentioned that the couple had gone to their friend’s house and will be returning soon. When they did not return till evening, the family members tried to trace them but failed to do so. Subsequently, they lodged a complaint at the local police station in this regards. The police were able to trace the groom and rescued him in a critical condition from Durg in Chhattisgarh while the bride is still missing.
