Nayagarh ASO arrested on charges of DA

Nayagarh, Dec 5: Nayagarh Assistant Supplies Officer (ASO), Jayant Das has been arrested by Vigilance on Sunday on the charges of disproportionate assets. He has been booked after the vigilance sleuths discovered illegal assets worth over Rs 1.5 crore from his possession. Earlier on Saturday, the Vigilance team had conducted simultaneous raids at several places linked to the Assistant Supplies Officer (ASO) in the Nayagarh district. He has been booked Under various Sections of Corruption and forwarded to the special Court of Vigilance after he was unable to substantiate the unearth assets, said a vigilance official.
